Dan first studied abroad in 8th grade on a spring break trip to Europe, and has since participated in several study, work, volunteer, and internship abroad programs totaling six years of international living experience on four continents. He is originally from suburban Chicago and joined the OIE in October 2021 after managing faculty-directed international programs at Clemson University. He earned a B.S. in Visual Communication from Bowling Green State University and an M.A. in International Education Management from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey.
Dan’s professional work prior to international education was in live entertainment, and he has worked in that field as an event coordinator and customer service manager both on tour and for venues ranging in size from clubs & theatres to arenas and multi-day festivals.
