Caroline started working at the OIE in Fall 2019 as a graduate student staff while earning her Master's in International and Intercultural Communication with a Certificate in Public Diplomacy at DU. After graduating, Caroline joined the OIE full-time. She is passionate about international education and enjoys advising and educating students.
As an undergraduate at the University of South Carolina, Caroline double-majored in International Studies and Anthropology with a minor in Japanese and a concentration in East Asia. She studied abroad in Japan twice, once for a two-week long Business in Japan Maymester and once for a yearlong Japan and East Asia Studies Program in Nishinomiya.
Before working at DU, Caroline spent two years in Kyushu on the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program. As a result, Caroline speaks conversational Japanese. Over the years, Caroline has also traveled to South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
