Stephanie HeadshotStephanie Roberts serves as Interim Director of the Office of International Education. She has worked at the OIE full time since 2013, and has moved through various roles in that office—Program Coordinator, Program Manager, Assistant Director and now Interim Director. As an undergraduate, Stephanie double-majored in International Studies and Spanish, with a minor in Latin American Studies.  She studied abroad twice--a semester in the United Kingdom, and a semester in Chile.  Stephanie completed her M.A. in International Development with Concentrations in Humanitarian Assistance, Education, and Gender at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies.  During that time, she completed a 3-month internship with an educational non-profit organization in Nicaragua.  Stephanie has also held professional roles with non-profit organizations focused on a variety of intercultural and international topics--ranging from human rights in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Somalia, to cross-cultural communications and engagement within multicultural communities in the U.S.

Stephanie was born in Brazil, where she spent her early childhood, and comes from a mixed U.S. and Bolivian family with deep ties to both countries. Stephanie speaks Spanish fluently and Portuguese conversationally. In addition to countries already mentioned, Stephanie has also traveled through parts of Europe (France, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Greece, Bulgaria, Kosovo), Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Morocco, Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, Cuba, Costa Rica, and Argentina.  Stephanie's professional interests are diversity and inclusiveness, cross-cultural communications, international development and social justice.
