Sarah has worked in the Office of International Education at the University of Denver since 2009. She currently serves as the Program Manager for Intercultural Learning and Engagement and advises for programs in the Middle East, Africa, parts of Latin America and Asia, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Belgium. She is also a course instructor for the two part Study Abroad course offered to DU study abroad students before and during (online) their time abroad. Sarah has a M.A. in Public Administration and a B.A. in Policy Studies from Syracuse University. While at SU she studied abroad in Harare, Zimbabwe. Post college Sarah did a short stint working in Ireland and traveling around Europe before starting her service as a small business volunteer with the Peace Corps in Solola, Guatemala. Upon return to the US, she joined Teach for America and taught third grade in the Rio Grande Valley of Southern Texas. Not quite ready to stay put in the U.S., Sarah went on to direct study abroad, intern, and volunteer programs for ProWorld Service Corps in Peru and Ghana. Sarah's love for exploring new destinations and cross-cultural exchange has taken her throughout the Americas and to parts of Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and the Middle East. When home in Colorado she loves staying active and playing in the Rocky Mountains.
